The fall 2017 semester ended with a 70 percent overall FCQ response rate at CU Boulder, a welcomed gain of seven percentage points compared to fall 2016.
Traditional full-term courses that start January 2018 and end May 2018 will be administered FCQs April 23–30. Keep an eye out for the official email invite, or, starting April 23,Ìý!
In addition to the promotion of the FCQ by departments and instructors, the FCQ program provided trainings to instructors, highlighting methods to increase response rates. It also reached out to students directly, explaining the importance of FCQs, and launched overall promotion to aid in response rates.

Environmental impact
The move to fully online FCQs saved over 300,000 sheets of paper across the CU Boulder, CU Denver and UCCS campuses, which is (each 45 feet tall). Ìý
Spring 2018 administration: April 23–30
After surveying instructors in January 2018 regarding preferred administration window timing and duration, the FCQ program has set April 23 through April 30 as the administration window for CU Boulder’s traditional 15-week courses. The online FCQ calendar has been updated to reflect the upcoming spring 2018 administrations, including eight early administration sessions and the final 15-week course administration.
Fall 2017 prize winners
In an effort to increase FCQ participation and completion in fall 2017, students who fully completed their FCQs were entered to win one of five $100 CU Book Store gift cards. One grand-prize winner received a one-hour virtual reality experience for themselves and three friends.

The FCQ Program would like to again thank instructors and department FCQ coordinators for their patience during this transition. A project this large is never easy to accomplish without increased patience and feedback. The FCQ programs looks forward to continuing to improve the process in future administrations.
