CU Boulder ranks No. 38 overall among global universities, according to the newly released听2019听Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), maintaining the same spot it held听in 2018. Among U.S. universities in the publication, CU Boulder ranks No. 25, up from No. 26 in 2018.
Published annually by ShanghaiRanking听Consultancy听since 2003,听ARWU uses six objective indicators to rank 1,000听world universities, including the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, the number of highly cited researchers 补苍诲听the number of articles published in high-impact scientific journals, such as听狈补迟耻谤别听补苍诲听Science.
Earlier this year, CU Boulder's earth science and atmospheric science disciplines听ranked No. 1 globally for the second straight year in听ShanghaiRanking's companion report, the听.
