CASE District VI AwardThe Forever Buffs Network Mentorship Program is an opportunity for CU Boulder alumni and students to foster meaningful relationships that will set the mentees up for success in their future careers and life beyond CU. The program includes both alumni-to-alumni mentorship and alumni-to-student mentorship, enabling alumni to share their professional and personal experience and expertise with current students and young alumni.ĢżCU staff, faculty, friends and family are also encouraged to sign up to mentor. The only requirement is that participants register in the .Ģż

Mentors and mentees that complete all the milestones in the program will be eligible for an official and completion badge. Credly badges are offered in partnership with the Office of the Registrar. Learn more about CU Boulder-issued Credly badges and micro-credentials, click here.

This yearā€™s mentorship program will also feature subgroup opportunities thatĀ offer more specialized community-focused resources and engagement along with all the regular mentorship program benefits.Ģż

Getting Started for Prospective Mentors and Mentees

  1. Register or log in to theĀ .
  2. Update and completeĀ your profile by clicking on ā€œEdit Profileā€ on the top right.
    1. Upload a professional photo.
    2. Include professional, academic and volunteer experience. We encourage you to include as much additional ā€œOther Informationā€ to ensure you have the most robust profile for creating a mentorship match.
    3. Update the industry, location and mentorship typeĀ fields. Please note that BIPOC mentorship is not guaranteed. All mentors and mentees will have access to join a BIPOC mentorship community after the matching portion of the program. The BIPOC Mentorship Community will include regular panel discussions and opportunity for peer-to-peer connection.
    4. Under the ā€œOffer Mentoringā€ section:
      1. If you are an alum offering mentorship to a student select ā€œBe a mentor/mentee with a current student.ā€
      2. If you are a student seeking mentorship, select ā€œBe a mentor/mentee with a current student.ā€
      3. If you are an alum offering mentorship to other alumni or select ā€œBe a mentor/mentee with an alum.ā€
      4. If you are an alum seeking mentorship, select ā€œBe a mentor/mentee with an alum.ā€
    5. Make sure to click ā€œSaveā€ at the bottom of the page to save all changes.
  3. Join . The deadline to join the group is Sept. 29. Details will be communicated via email upon completion of the steps above.
