The Center for Documentary and Ethnographic Media is proud to partner with Flaherty in supporting the dynamic, passionate, and international documentary community. The Center, with the generous support of the College of Media, Communication, and Information and the Department of Critical Media Practices, has partnered with the to create Flaherty x Boulder, a partnernership for fostering and promoting historical and contemporary documentary media art and its practitioners.


Fellowship

We are now accepting applications for the Flaherty x Boulder Fellowship to attend the 2023 Flaherty Seminar, taking place at Skidmore College June 16-23. The fellowship covers the entire registration fee, which includes room, board, and all special events throughout the week.

The theme of the 2023 Seminar is Queer World-Mending, programmed by Jon Davies & Steve Reinke at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The application is open to graduate students from any department in CMCI.
