After a rocky start in engineering at another university, Kimi Bourland transferred to CU Boulder and found her niche as an undergraduate researcher and founder of Phi Sigma Rho, a sorority for women in technical fields. She also ended her undergraduate career in the top 1 percent of her class.
Now the chemical engineering major has been named Outstanding Graduate of the College for fall 2017.
