The Media Archaeology Lab (MAL) was founded in 2009 by Associate Professor听. The MAL is a place for cross-disciplinary experimental research and teaching using the tools,听software and platforms听from the past. The MAL is propelled equally by the need to maintain access to early works of electronic literature and by the need to archive and maintain the computers these works were created on.

Techne is a practice-based digital arts research initiative founded by Professor Mark Amerika, at the 乐播传媒听Boulder in November 2002. The Techne initiative develops innovative approaches to the invention of new forms of knowledge generally considered to be both artistic and scholarly.
