Environmental Compliance

Environmental Compliance (EC) is responsible for numerous safety standards across the CU Boulder campus including occupational safety programs, pollution prevention, regulatory compliance, and  water quality and permitting. The EC unit ensures a safe campus that protects the environment through extensive education and training.

Indoor Air Quality

The quality of indoor air can be affected by a variety of factors and result in health related symptoms or general discomfort. Indoor air quality on the CU Boulder campus is safeguarded by the Industrial Hygiene (IH) unit which maintains numerous regulatory permits designed to protect the environment in which we live and work. This unit supports healthy workplaces by investigating indoor air quality concerns and by performing exposure assessments.

Workplace Safety

Safety is an everyday concern for workers and the campus community. EH&S has several programs set up to actively protect you and the beautiful Boulder landscape. Some areas we monitor and support are: asbestos and lead-based paint, indoor air quality and odor, noise levels, and on the job injuries.
