Interests

1. Turbulence and application of second moment turbulence closure models to turbulent mixing in the oceans and the atmosphere.

2. Numerical models of oceans and oceanic processes

3. Synergistic use of unmanned aerial vehicles and VHF ST/MST radars to measure and monitor turbulence in the lower troposphere.

4. Application of radiosondes and GPS radio occultation soundings to extracting turbulence locations and intensities in the free atmosphere.

5. Nowcasting, hindcasting and short-term forecasting of the oceans using three dimensional numerical models and assimilation of observational data.
