Global Brigades offers students the opportunity to visit remote, third-world communites, experience absolute poverty first-hand and make a difference in thousands of community members' lives while developing their professional skills geared towards their post-graduation aspirations.

Exposure

The world has a myriad of different climates, cultures and natural features. 听Global Brigades听exposes students听to the vast diversity听of the world allowing听students to听explore what the world has to offer.

Volunteer

Join arms with fellow brigadiers to positively impact impoverished听communities around the world! 听Finding yourself in servicing others provides many opportunities to make close friendships that will last a lifetime.

Pastime

Although this picture makes our living quarters in-country look much more luxurious than reality, every night after the brigade, we return to the compound to relax, play sports and hang out! 听

Programs

Global Brigades at the 乐播传媒 Boulder offers every听student听the opportunity to become a member and attend Global Brigade meetings. 听The听meetings will be held throughout the academic year, every other Sunday at 7:00pm in HLMS 199, starting one week after the informational sessions end. 听The general Global Brigades meetings will primarily focus on creating a friendly community where students can meet new faces, plan fun group events听and get together to locally volunteer through Global Brigade's partner, United Way. 听Before Fall break, each Global Brigades program听will release听their application听to determine听which students will have the opportunity听to join them听abroad. The application process is used because each program can only accommodate听a certain amount of students due to听each program's听project听capacity,听financial cost听and safety restrictions. 听We release applications later in the year to better听gauge students interest and passion for Global Brigades听and for their desired program. 听Attendance and听participation at meetings and听events听greatly contribute to the acceptance of students into CU's Global Brigade's programs.

Following the formation of the Global Brigades programs, meetings oriented for each program will occur weekly as general Global Brigades meetings continue every other week. These specially oriented meetings are听tailored to prepare students for their upcoming brigade. This will include in-country itineraries, walk-throughs of clinics and听blueprints and other details pertinent to the trip.
