I amÌýan assistant professor of marketing inÌýtheÌýÌýat theÌýÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Boulder.ÌýI study how people think and make decisions. Much of my work is inspired by causal model theory, the idea that people's judgments and decisions are based on knowledge of the world, knowledge that is represented in terms of causal structure. I received my Ph.DÌýin cognitive scienceÌýfrom theÌýÌýat Brown University in 2010 .ÌýPrior to pursuing my Ph.D I worked with consumer goods companies as a strategy consultant for two boutique firms in Boston. Before that, I did my undergraduate studies atÌýÌýin the mountains of Western Massachusetts where I studied philosophy.ÌýWhen I'm not busy working on research I spend most of my time playing withÌýmy son and daughter, taking scenic walks with my wife, flatpicking myÌýÌýat local bluegrass jams and playing ice hockey.
