Dr. K. Ryan Proctor is a research scientist with the United States Air Force Academy. Her research focuses on the integration of the biological and social sciences using a new mechanical approach to science. She earned her doctorate from the University of California, Riverside, in 2010.Ìý She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University in 2012. Her work has appeared in theÌýAmerican Journal of Sociology,ÌýSocial Forces,ÌýSociological Forum,ÌýSociety,ÌýJournal of Criminal Justice,ÌýCriminal Justice Review,ÌýSexuality & Culture,ÌýJournal of Men’s Studies,ÌýAIDS Education and Prevention,ÌýAmerican Journal of Physical Anthropology,ÌýJournal of Higher Education, andÌýReview of Higher Education. Additionally, she is a co-author of the bookÌýMechanistic Criminology.
