Using the collection

The collection is located in the north wing of the second floor ofÌýNorlin LibraryÌý(see a call number map). It is comprised of approximately 100,000 internationalÌýart and design books, exhibition catalogs, hundreds ofÌýmagazine and journal subscriptions and an extensive reference collection of dictionaries, encyclopedias, and catalogues raisonné considered essential to the field.Ìý

Over 200 recent issues of local, national, and international art and design magazines can be browsed in the lounge located at the west entrance to the collection. The most recent five years of back issues are kept in the stacks interfiled with books by call number.ÌýOlder issues are housed in off-site storage and can be requested through the .
