The intermountain west innovation ecosystem came together at the fifth annual Destination Startup庐 showcase on Feb. 15 and 16, hosted by Venture Partners at CU Boulder. The Research & Innovation Office has announced that Joe Dragavon, PhD, has been named interim director of Core Facilities and Shared Instrumentation, effective February 1. Since the departure of the previous director, Claudius Mundoma, Dragavon has played an instrumental role in maintaining the momentum of the university鈥檚 core facilities community.

The student team's Drone Recharging Operational Payload System (DROPS) received top honors at SciTech. The autonomous cargo delivery system, designed for uncrewed aerial vehicles, is capable of dropping off and picking up drone cargo without the need for human intervention.
