Earth Explorers is a educational outreach program that exposes underrepresented youth to the range opportunities they can pursue through STEM fields. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ are paired with a local scientist who teaches them about his/her work. The students interview their scientists and visit their laboratory to film a short documentary film with the help of a graduate student science mentor. The EE program runs during the fall and spring terms, and is always looking for volunteers to act as science mentors for the student groups. CU-Boulder oversees general outreach to the community through the Volunteer Resource Center, found at volunteer.colorado.edu. They're heavily involved in flood relief and plan regular volunteer days for students to help clean up flood damage in the Boulder community.
