CU-Boulder Contracts With Collegiate Licensing Company

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder has signed a four-year agreement with the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) for management of university product licensing. CLC, a premier licensing organization, is the agent responsible for licensed collegiate products at such institutions as the universities of North Carolina, Michigan, Texas and Stanford.

Kids To Fall Into 'Black Holes' At June 16 CU Wizards Show

Audience members will have the chance to fall into an artificial black hole and participate in other activities at the Saturday, June 16, CU Wizards show "Black Holes." Professor Andrew Hamilton of the astrophysical and planetary sciences department will demonstrate the concepts of black holes in CU-Boulder's Fiske Planetarium at 9:30 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m.

The ends often do justify the means -- at least when it comes to political elections. That's the conclusion of a recent study conducted by psychologists at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder. In the study, Professors Lyle Bourne and Charles Judd, along with graduate student Noelle LaVoie, found that the public's judgment of a politician's ethical conduct during an election may depend on the subsequent success or failure of his or her policies.

New Satellite Study Shows Vegetation Increases In U.S.

Fiske Planetarium To Explore Southern Skies During Live Show

CU-Boulder Announces Appointment Of Lorrie Shepard As Education Dean

Longtime education faculty member Lorrie Shepard has been named dean of the School of Education at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder. The appointment is pending approval by the Board of Regents at its budget retreat meeting on May 30 and will be effective June 1 if approved. Shepard will take over the post vacated by Dean William Stanley who resigned in April to accept the education dean position at the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif.

Business School Appoints Five Top Executives To Advisory Council

The CU-Boulder College of Business Dean Steven Manaster has appointed five new members to the college's Business Advisory Council, all accomplished executives who will bring invaluable experience to their roles of advising the school's administration. CU-Boulder Joins MBA 'Peace Corps' Program

The Graduate School of Business at CU-Boulder has been selected to join a group of colleges and universities, including Stanford and Yale, that participate in the MBA Enterprise Corps, which provides long-term assistance to companies in developing economies. Through the MBA Enterprise Corps, graduates of the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder MBA program will have the opportunity to apply their business knowledge while helping to improve the economic condition of companies in developing countries such as Bulgaria or Kazakhstan.

Applications Being Accepted For High School Honors Institute At CU-Boulder, Southampton, England

The College of Engineering and Applied Science at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder is still accepting applications for the 34th annual High School Honors Institute as well as a new opportunity with the Royal Academy of Engineering's "Headstart" program at the University of Southampton, England. Both programs are intended to introduce the field of engineering to students who have an interest in math or science. The application deadline for the Colorado High School Honors Institute is June 30, but students who want to attend the program in England must apply by June 1.
