From time to time, the Herbst Program for Engineering, Ethics & Society may seek Lecturers to teach sections of ENES 1010: Engineering, Ethics & Society听and ENES 3100: Seminar in Engineering, Ethics & Society.听These teaching roles are filled on an as-needed basis each semester.听

The titles听of Lecturer听and Adjunct are听given to individuals who teach on a course-by-course basis. These individuals generally have a PhD in a humanities-related field and experience teaching small discussion-based seminars that include close examination of great works and active engagement in an iterative writing process.听The compensation range for these roles is $1,000-$8,100 per听course depending on the teaching assignment and instructor qualifications.

As the Herbst Program is quite small, needs fluctuate substantially from semester听to听semester. Lecturers听are not permanent employees and听are听hired on a semester-by-semester basis.
