Harvard Law Professor To Lecture On Iraq, The Taliban And Conflict Negotiation At CU March 13

Harvard School of Law Professor Robert H. Mnookin will deliver the 46th annual John R. Coen Lecture on, Thursday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Lindsley Memorial Courtroom at the CU-Boulder School of Law. A leading scholar in the field of conflict resolution, Mnookin will discuss Iraq, the Taliban and other conflicts that raise the questions of whether and when to negotiate.

Native Women Leadership Symposium Held At CU-Boulder March 10-15

CU-Boulder Researchers Propose Answer To Basic Atmospheric Chemistry Question

Scientists from the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder have proposed a long-sought answer to how atmospheric sulfate aerosols are formed in the stratosphere. Conducted by researchers at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, or CIRES, the research shows how a fundamental molecular process driven by sunlight may play a significant role in determining the planet's energy budget.

The CU-Boulder Deming Center for Entrepreneurship has appointed three Colorado business leaders to its advisory board - Joyce Colson-Quinn, Jon Nordmark and Chris Wand. Keck Foundation Donates $1.5 Million To CU-Boulder Center For Ultracold Molecular Research

The W.M. Keck Foundation of Los Angeles has donated $1.5 million to establish the W.M. Keck Center for Ultracold Molecular Research at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ at Boulder, Chancellor Richard L. Byyny announced today. "This center will build on CU-Boulder's existing strength in atomic, molecular and optical physics," said Chancellor Byyny. "It will enhance the links between the programs of some of our most outstanding researchers and provide outstanding opportunities for training students and post-doctoral research associates in pioneering science."

Student Photography Exhibit To Open At CU Heritage Center

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Heritage Center will celebrate the opening of a new temporary exhibit "Institutionalized: Student Life Through Student Eyes" with a reception on Friday, March 14. The reception from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the third floor of Old Main is free and open to the public. The exhibit features 30 black-and-white photographs of CU-Boulder life taken by a group of undergraduate photojournalism students over a six-month period. They explore such topics as academia, social and political life, housing, sports and sexuality.
