Supercomputer condo cluster
Instrument Description:
The RC Condo Computing service offers researchers the听opportunity to purchase and own compute nodes that will be operated as part听of a cluster, named 鈥淏lanca.鈥� The aggregate cluster is made available to听all condo partners while maintaining priority for the owner of each node.听Benefits to partners include听听Data center rack space 鈥� including redundant听power and cooling 鈥� and scratch disk space. Partners get significantly听prioritized access on nodes that they own, and can run jobs on any nodes that听are not currently in use by other partners. RC staff provides system听configuration and administration, as well as technical support for users. A听standard software stack appropriate for a range of research needs. Partners听are able to install additional software applications as needed. Bulk discount听pricing is available for all compute node purchases.
